Mena Bassily, MBBCh, MSc, Ph.D., LMCC, CCFP
Dr. Bassily obtained his medical degree from the University of Menoufia in Egypt and completed the University of Manitoba International Medical Graduate Licensure Program in 2017.
Dr. Bassily has 5 years of working experience in rural Manitoba. His core practice interests include general family medicine, emergency medicine, and Women’s Health. Dr. Bassily has been running the local dialysis unit in rural Manitoba for 4 years.
He has obtained a Master’s Degree in Epidemiology and Public Health and has obtained Ph.D. in Epidemiology of Children’s behavioral disorders. He worked as a doctoral and postdoctoral research fellow at Harvard School of Public Health and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. He has published peer-reviewed research articles in the field of Epidemiology, especially in areas related to cancer diagnosis and survival, children’s behavioral disorders, and Indigenous Health.
